Composition: Each tablet of ISIS contains Doxycycline hyclate equivalent
to Doxycycline 100mg.
Description: ISIS is the brand name of
Doxycycline hyclate which is a broad-spectrum antibiotic synthetically
derived from oxytetracycline.
Indications and dosage:
ISIS is indicated for the treatment of the following
infections: Rocky Mountain spotted fever, typhus fever and the typhus
group, Q fever, rickettsialpox, and tick fevers, respiratory tract
infections, Lymphogranuloma venereum, Psittacosis (ornithosis),
trachoma, Uncomplicated urethral, endocervical or rectal infections in
adults, Nongonococcal urethritis,
Dosage: For adults the usual dose of oral ISIS is
200 mg on the first day of treatment (administered 100mg every
12hours) followed by a maintenance dose of 100 mg/day.
How supplied: ISIS Tablets 100mg available in
blister pack of 30 (3X10’s)
