Compositions:
Each enteric coated tablet contains Pantoprazole sodium sesquilhydrate 45.1 mg
equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg.
Description: Pantoprazole is a proton pump
inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses the final step in gastric acid
production y forming a covalent bond to two sites of the H+ K+ ATPase
enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
Indications and dosage: Pantop is indicated in
duodenal/gastric ulcer, gastro-esophageal reflux and chronic
dyspepsia. In combination with two appropriate antibiotics for the
eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
Dose for adults: One tablet daily in most of the
cases. In individual cases the dose may be doubled (two tablets daily)
usually for 2 weeks in case of duodenal ulcer and for 4 weeks (maximum
8 weeks) in gastric ulcer or gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
How supplied: Bottle of 14 enteric coated
tablets.
