Composition: Each
tablet, capsule or injection contains Pirpxicam 20 mg.
Description: Rosiden is piroxicam, a Non Steroidal
Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID), belonging to oxicam class. Piroxicam
blocks the prostaglandin synthesis by the inhibition of enzyme
cyclo-oxygenase.
Indications: Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis,
ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, musculoskeletal disorders,
dysmenorrhea, post-operative pain, pos-traumatic pain.
Dose: Usual recommended dose is 20 mg
tablet/capsule once daily taken with food. However in acute conditions
2 tablets/capsules can be given daily for first 2-3 days. The dose of
Rosiden injection in acute painful conditions or post-operatively is
1-2 ampoules daily followed by oral tablet/capsule daily when acute
phase is over.
